In 1994 we had some customers who wanted to try the joining machines out for assembling door casing and it worked great. Early in 1995 Daniel Simms came to work with Gordon and helped expand the business and focus on the millwork industry.

In early 1995, Adam Wholesalers in Carlisle, PA wanted to try out one of our new Alfamacchine Italian Bottom nailer machines, to replace the kerfing and Splining method of pre-assembling door casing. They said we have been knocking in metal splines for 30 years!! It’s about time someone came up with a better method!

Over the years more and more door shops around the country saw the benefits to the system of joining casing. We currently have equipment in 42 states and internationally specializing in casing assembly to the pre-hung door industry.

Many of our customers like the fact that they are buying a whole package from Simms Machinery that includes delivery, installation and training as well as a startup selection of v nails. We have an 800 number for technical support and supplies and 2 additional techs that answer an 800 number where all of the parts for the machines are in stock.
